Major Activities:
- Training for field observers based on the field observation guidelines and the data entry format
- Training on the data quality of observed data for forecasters
- Preparation of the operation and maintenance manuals for observation fields and instruments (including AWS)
- Training for field observers and instruments inspectors on the maintenance of observation fields and observation instruments (including AWS)
- Preparation and conduct of the briefing flowchart and record
- Identification of the radar ZR relation parameter for rainfall calculation in the observation range of 5 existing meteorological radar systems and optimization of the parameters
- Preparation of correlation charts for rainfall data of radar and surface observations
- Optimization of radar ZR relation parameters for rainfall calculation
- Development of daily observation data input sheet for easy statistical processing and data quality control of observation data
- Training on Numerical Weather Prediction (Meso Scale Model) by using PC (Linux) on trial basis and forecast guidance
- Preparation of the operation and maintenance manuals for the meteorological radar system
- Training on the operation and maintenance of meteorological radar systems
- Preparation of the meteorological radar observation routine schedule
